Juno

I loved it! The movie was great - probably the best thing to come out during these christmas releases.  Juno’s character was great - absolutely witty and just so many clever things to say in such a short period of time - awesome and admirable. Plus seeing as this is Diablo Cody’s first screenplay and she knocked it out of the park - it’s also quite admirable. The lingo was great - maybe even a little to teenager-dramatic - but spot on - I really wish Rainn Wilson had been in it more because the opening scenes were just so great. Ellen Page and Rainn bounced off each other really well.  She’ll definitely be winning some awards for this. Anyways A+. The movie rocked, for an unseemingly interesting topic - pregnancy!

Walk Hard

This was pretty good. Pretty ridiculous. But I do love Walk The Line and they couldn’t have parodied it any better….Wrong kid died…. It was funny but not as laugh out loud funny as say Superbad or Knocked Up. I did enjoy it. It was worth the overpriced ticket. Definitly loved the Duet song the most - definitely the most clever and catchy of them all. I couldn’t believe how many big name stars were in it either - amazing!

The Golden Compass

I loved the book when I was younger so I was very excited to see the movie. Thankfully enough the film did appease me because it was very well done. Nicole Kidman was a great villian, well mostly becuase I think she just always looks really mean… it suits her?  ha ha! The girl they chose to play Lyra was also fantastic because she was really good especially considering how you she was. i did laugh however when I saw Daniel Craig and Eva Green both in it. Did someone say Casino Royale comeback! Other than that The Big Bear is definitely my favorite and he is quite a bad ass too so that’s always a plus. There was hardly anyone in the theater though, and on a saturday night! So go see it, it’s great! Kind of a Harry Potter meets Chronicles of Narnia.

Hitman

I must say I did quite enjoy this. I read a lot of reviews that just totally ripped it to shreds, because of the bad storyline, too much violence etc. I’d have to disagree though, mabye it is because I expected it to be horrible, but still it just wasn’t all that bad. Sometimes just watching a “badass” guy movie, you can’t take it all that seriously. I just watched it for pure entertainment value - and I loved the fact that the girl never really became the love intrest until maybe the very very end. It was all about the Hitman killing and not about the girl. The whole time while I was watching it I kept thinking this feels like a Vin Diesel movie and sure enough the Executive Producer was Vin himself. Maybe that’s why it was so trashed.
