Drag Me To Hell Review

We went to see this today because it was impossible to get into a screening of UP this weekend. Oh well! I was pretty reluctant because I dunno it just looked kinda weird, but it was pretty good.

I know Sam Raimi can deliver, but sometimes he’s really hit or miss with me. This film was totally weird though and super gross, but I kinda liked it.

My favorite quote “I killed that kitty you know!” ha ha ha. It was so ridiculous and sick but hilarious.

The sharp sound affects and loud noises definitely kept you on edge which was good, don’t really see enough of that these days. Totally weird storyline, but I totally didn’t see the end coming. It was so good. I’d say it’s worth a watch.

Terminator Salvation

We went and saw this the day after it opened. (Sorry for the late review) It was alright, but definitely not a fantastic movie. On qualm I had is why the hell was Christian Bale the one saying “I’ll be back” it was just awkward.

The “Arnold” part was the most impressive piece I think. Putting the head on another guy’s body all Benjamin button style was insane. i was almost convinced it was the Governator himself. :)

I did find that after all the hub bub of Christian Bale screaming at the DP that his performance was quite lacking. It was good, but not great. It must be all the pressure with leading all these franchises getting to him. Don’t get me wrong I think he is an amazing actor, but this was not one of his best performances.

I found Sam Worthington’s performance in this to be much more entertaining and interesting than Bale’s….and don’t get me started Anton Yelchin, I have no clue how this kid keeps scoring these big roles, but if his voice hasn’t cracked yet at age 20, I don’t think it ever will and frankly I don’t really care to listen to it quite so much…

Even though it was only alright I must admit I went to 7 eleven and splurged on a Terminator Slurpee cup. Nice!
