I had an awesome day!

Went to see Julie and Julia today. It was absolutely fantastic. Much funnier than I thought it would be. I would definitely recommend it to just about anyone. I wish they had gone a little more into Julia Child’s story like why she couldn’t have kids and what she was doing before she was 40. The end was also kind of abrupt and left a little to be desired, but besides being picky it was still a really great film. I was also super surprised to see Jane Lynch (Glee, 40 year old virgin, etc). It’s crazy too because she really is that tall; I saw her on the set of Glee one day when I was standing in. She has excellent comedic timing. She did such a great job as well in Julia and Julia. Meryl Streep blew me away as Julia Childs. Awesome feel good movie.

This is what made my day though. After the movie we went to Borders and guess who comes waltzing in?! None other than Michael C Hall and Jennifer Carpenter. I recognized her first because it seemed he was trying to be more discreet. I must say she is just as pretty in reality as she is on screen and Michael C Hall is so nice. I got the courage to go up and actually talk to them and go say Hi and that I loved Dexter and Six Feet Under. This has been one of the times I really wanted to get a picture but I didn’t want to really bother them, just give them some praise for such a job well done. It’s always nice to get compliments! But man I couldn’t stop smiling after. Just another reason I love Hollywood.

Awesome Day!

Funny People movie review

We actually saw this last week and I forgot to write about it.

There are some really funny parts and then there are some sorta funny and then there are just some plain depressing parts.

The part with Eminem was quite hilarious. It was just completely bizarre. I loved how all the comedian friends he had were really quite old and some I wasn’t even sure of their name! Also I did not know Dave Attell could actually grow hair! ha ha. Sarah Silverman’s little bit will haunt me forever.

It seems as though comedians are just really unhappy people. This felt a bit true to life to me, can’t explain it, maybe its because it dealt with sort of real issues.

I did enjoy it, but I wouldnt go running back to watch it again anytime soon.

The Perfect Getaway film review

We went and saw this the other night. I liked it. It’s the first time I’ve seen a movie where I came up with what I think would be the ultimate twist to make the movie awesome and it actually happened. Pretty cool, although this movie was extremely weird I must say.

When it first started and we saw the personal camera I was like aw man! no one said it was going to be cloverfield all over again, but luckily it did not last very long! I hate the crazy cameras in films. Yes it’s cheap and it definitely shows!

I was kind of hoping they would have saturated the entire thing more to make it even more desireable, but they didn’t. That was probably the only downfall.

*Spoiler Alert*

I wonder if the girl goes to jail… that was one thing I kept thinking about at the end of the film.
